rwc
I recently downloaded a trial version of Retrospect 6.0. When backing up my local hard disk to my internal TDK 161040x CD burner, I only get average speeds of 20 MB/Min. Other software I use with this burner averages 120 MB/Min (this is a 16x burner). I have compression and encryption turned off. Any other possible culprits?
AmyJ
While in Retrospect, go to Configure > Devices > Environment and list Vendor, Product and Version for your drive.

Mayoff
Hello, The CDRW161040X appears to be a device with an internal Sanyo mechanism. Unfortunatly Dantz does not support the TDK CDRW161040X with a Sanyo mechanism, which could explain the trouble you are having. It appears that TDK also sells a TDK veloCD 16/10/40 (CDRW161040 version) which is supported by Retrospect. Our speeds are 150MB/Min or more in some systems.
