Retrospect 6.0 error- tstring.cpp-1899

I am receiving an error message while trying to make a disaster recovery CD:

 

"Assertion Failure at "tstring.cpp-1899"

 

An internal consistency check failed.

Detailed technical information on this problem is being written to the file "assert_log.utx".

Retrospect will exit after this completes."

 

I am using Windows XP SP3, and Retrospect 6.0 version 6.0.222 on a PC. The error occurs after I click "Prepare for Disaster Recovery" and then I am prompted for Windows Product Key Number. I enter the number and put the Windows XP Installation CD into the CD drive and click on "Next." Then the error message occurs.

That version of Retrospect is not supported on XP SP3. It has never been tested by EMC.
