slowMX5
All, I just purchased a 1.5TB IOMEGA Prestige Desktop HDD. I have downloaded the free backup software, Retrospect Express. It appears to be working fine, I have created scheduled backup and duplicate scripts to the IOMEGA drive and to a NAS drive. However I am running Windows 7 and on checking I see that have installed Retrospect 7.6 which doesn't support Win7. Should I have downloaded Retrospect 7.7 and if so how can I go about 'upgrading' to this version? If the worst happens I don't want to find that I can not restore my system due to having the wrong Retrospect version. Thanks for any help. Mayoff
You would need to purchase an upgrade to the 7.7 version. www.retrospect.com/upgrade
slowMX5
Hi, There are a lot of choices there - I am guessing that I would need to upgrade to Retrospect Professional 7.7 for Windows? Going from retrospect express 7.6? Would all my scripts need to be re-done? As an aside, and not really relevant to this thread, I must admit I am a little disappointed that Iomega supplied a bunch of licences for software that isn't compatible windows 7 this long after 7 was launched (quikprotect isn't compatible either). Before I buy an upgrade I need to sort out the small issues with execution errors (driving me mad...:^)
