Express 6.5 and Windows 7 - How do I...?

Been using Retrospect Express on my Compaq (Win XP)for several years. Daily backups to and external HD and it has saved my bacon many times restoring damaged & lost (deleted) files.


The old girl went "toes up" this morning and I bought a new HP w/Win 7. When I tried to install Express 6.5 the computer warned me there were compatilbilty issues w/the software. I tried this sight and couldn't figure out what to do so I installed it anyway. The program runs but it says it can't find some sort of catalog file on the external HD.


I'm not a computer guy and I'm at a loss at what to do. These are business documents and file and I really need them. Are my backups gone?


Any help would be sincerely appreciated.
