assigned drive letter & copying of backup hard drive

Hi. Dont know if this is a potential problem.

fyi first: windows xp, express 7.5, use external hard drive "my book" that i remove from desktop after do backup. In the past windows explorer always showed the drive letter assigned to the external backup drive as E, and now it has switched to F. Does this mean I should start over with full backup because now the "copying My Book" has a different drive assigned to it. Just dont know if everything needs to match if I need to do a restore. thanks

If Retrospect sees the drive, then you should not need to do anything. Worst case, you would do a catalog rebuild, but start all over.

This was a first time attempt at backup. There was no prior Retrospect catalog. It saw the drive as I was able to select it on the set up. As son as I clicked "backup now" then immediately BSOD occured

Let me clarify I note din my post I am using Retrospect Express updated to 2.5 (not 7.5 typing error)
