aiharris Posted August 17, 2009 Report Share Posted August 17, 2009 I'm trying to establish a start up external firewire disk for an XServe which is running my Retrospect engine. The program reports that the engine backs up the same machine just fine. It also reports, if I do a "restore" of the most recent back up to the external disk, that it went just fine. However, if that really were the case, then I should be able to select the external drive as the start up disk in the system preferences, which I can't. This algorithm worked in 6.1.
