svenlm Posted August 6, 2009 Report Posted August 6, 2009 It seems that the current release (8.1.150) isn't compatible with the newly released Mac OS X 10.5.8. Both Retrospect and RetroEngine crash immediately when Retrospect.app tries to connect to the engine (both running on a MacBook Core2 Duo)...
Mayoff Posted August 6, 2009 Report Posted August 6, 2009 I have not seen other reports of this. I will look into it.
svenlm Posted August 6, 2009 Author Report Posted August 6, 2009 Seems that my settings file got somehow corrupt just before or after updating to 10.4.8... Sorry for reporting this as a bug related to 10.4.8. However, it would be nice to have a more robust settings file or at least more backups of the settings file.
rhwalker Posted August 6, 2009 Report Posted August 6, 2009 Seems that my settings file got somehow corrupt just before or after updating to [color:red]10.4.8... Sorry for reporting this as a bug related to [color:red]10.4.8. Sure there is not a typo there? 10.4.8 is years old, and Retrospect 8.x is not supported on 10.4.8. Russ
Maser Posted August 6, 2009 Report Posted August 6, 2009 I'm having no new problems with 10.5.8 (FWIW). (Apart from all the existing Retrospect problems that is...) ;-)
svenlm Posted August 6, 2009 Author Report Posted August 6, 2009 Oops, sorry again - I meant 10.5.8 of course...
Mayoff Posted August 6, 2009 Report Posted August 6, 2009 I also successfully tested 10.5.8 server today.
