jean.decuypertelenet.be
Hi I have RS 8.1 installed on an Intel Imac running 10.5.7. I want to backup to a NAS (readynas NV+). RS can find the NAS and let me define the shares I want to backup to using "sources tab". All right so far. But everytime the Imac needs to be restarted the shares are lost: I still see them in the list but when I browse them I get "source unavailable". many thnx for helping JDC
Mayoff
Did you provide Retrospect with a username and password for that volume? Is this a disk or a file media set?
jean.decuypertelenet.be
hi It is a disk media set. On the NAS I set permissions R/W and allow guest access. This seems to work fine to add the shares to the sources. While doing that, no ID is asked for by the NAS. Another strange thing: I have a Share on the NAS which actually resides on a USB drive attached to the NAS. That share works perfect as a source! thnx for helping JDC Edited July 29, 2009 by Guest
