filmul
I made a first local backup of 417 GB on a hardware compressed media set member (LTO-4). Afterward I launched a second one on the same member and by 833 GB on the tape I got a message from the activities window "media needed" with a flashing question mark on the tape icon although 730 GB remained free on the tape. So I must introduce a new tape and so I could continue. What happened ? Thank you for helping me retrospect 8.0 (8.0.608.1) os 10.5.6 LTO-4 drive tandberg
Mayoff
Retrospect writes data until the hardware reports the tape is full. The tape capacity value listed in Retrospect is an estimate for display only and has no impact on how much is written to the tape. http://kb.dantz.com/article.asp?article=5658&p=
filmul
ok Robin but the media sets window itself displays a free space of 730 GB for the member I had to replace. The gap is huge !
