jspiel
Is there a way (like in previous Retrospect versions) to test and check rules ? I didn't see a way to do this. And when we try to do a complicated rule, it will be fine to test it. In the 6.1 version, we could test the result of the rule on a "pseudo-volume" and it was really useful. Mayoff
Unfortunately, we do not have that feature yet. You can try using the Backup Assistant, select your rule, select a source, select a destination and then click Preview. This should select the items that match your rule. It isn't as easy as a check but it should give you a better idea for how things are going. We hope to add the check option in a future update. jspiel
I don't have a "preview" option... After selecting a destination in the assistant, I can schedule, save, go back or start now... No preview...
Mayoff
You may need to make the window larger (wider). In the "Summary" screen in the "Backup up the following sources" summary box you will find a preview on the far right side on the same line as the source name. impala
you only get the preview option if you use the wizard backup assistant. Not if you use a saved script. This isn't a good way to do it anyway because it doesn't filter anything until you expand the containing folder. I've found a better way seems to be to restore an actual backup to a disk image using the filter.
