sdepner
Hello, When I attempt to groom a backup set, I receive the following error: Date: 4/20/2009 #Couldn't open Catalog File xxxxxx for grooming cleanup, error -843 ( resource is in use by another operation). So I am assuming it is saying the catalog file is in use by another operation. I don't have any operations running and I have stopped / started the retro engine and restarted retrospect as well. Rebooting the server is not an option right now (And should not be). Any ideas? The scheduled backups themselves are running fine. edit: retrospect 8.0.608.1 / 10.5.6 server. Backing up to external FW800 using disk media set. Edited April 20, 2009 by Guest
Mayoff
Try to remove the media set from the media set list. Then add it again. if that does not help, then try a catalog rebuild.
