Maser Posted April 17, 2009 Report Share Posted April 17, 2009 In the Windows forum, people were (reasonably) complaining that they wanted Retrospect to do "block copies" of changes to large files (ie, VM files or Outlook .pst files) only. Back in Feb 08, Robyn posted: I totally agree this is a major concern. We have already been working on the option to copy only the changed parts of a file. I even got a chance to see some interface designs for the feature. I am hoping that we can get this into Retrospect X and then into the Windows product. I will cross my fingers with you and remind engineering users want this feature in the next big update. It's a year later and Retrospect "X" is out -- is this something planned for a future upgrade? Mayoff Posted April 17, 2009 Report Share Posted April 17, 2009 We do still want to offer this type of feature, but our hands are already a little full working on the core 8.0 features and missing items like PPC support, FTP backups and the need to read older backup data.
