jamesiporter
After tinkering with R8 for the past couple of weeks, I realized finally what a brilliant product it is. I've been a dedicated R-user for years (Mac version). This is a fantastic upgrade, extremely well designed. Like its predecessors, it's complex and takes some time to get familiar with (and I'm still exploring the software, and am bound to send in more queries in future), but it's time well spent. Thanks. AntonRang
I agree with James -- while there's still a lot of rough edges in the new version, it's a huge advance over Retrospect 6, and finally reaching parity with the Windows version. I'm grateful that EMC saw fit to invest in upgrading the Macintosh version at last, and I'm looking forward to using Retrospect in the years to come. macpro
My favourite option is the Retrospect Console that can run on any Mac. This makes managing Retrospect a lot easier than using remote desktop. Despite the issues it still has version 8 is a great step forward and I really like it. Thanks!
