douglasfry
I am struggling with this App.. I can browse my Buffalo NAS's within 'Source', create folders and save them as favourites etc. As I can within 'Finder' etc If I try and add these very same folders as member to a media set, I get 'An error occurred' every time. OSX 10.5.6 MacPro 16Gig ram, etc etc Is there anything I can try? Cheers, Douglas
Mayoff
Can you provide more detail: What is the path you are typing when trying to add this volume as a member? Are you using a username and password? Do you see errors in the operations log? Do you see errors in the OS X console log?

Mayoff
smb://one/one is probably not going to work. I have you tried "SMB://ip address/share name"?
douglasfry
"This volume is already logged in" how do I remove all NAS drives? (I have eight) Thanks for your help Douglas
Mayoff
You don't need to remove them as far as I know, but when you are adding a member to a Disk Media Set, you need to click Add Share... and point Retrospect to that share.
douglasfry
Yea thats what I am doing, Retrospect just says "This volume is already logged in" and I cannot add it to the media set
Mayoff
Are you trying to add it using this format: SMB://ip address/share name? Try going to Sources. If the share shows up in this Window, try to delete it using the delete key on the keyboard. Then try adding it as a member. If the volume is mounted in the finder, try to dismount it. douglasfry
Yes using SMB://192.168.15.6/one/retrospect with username and password the share looks like it becomes available (ie it appears then in the 'Add new Member' list. But when I try and then add it to the Media Set, I get the message 'An error occurred'
douglasfry
And I did remove all existing shares both in Retrospect and from the Finder.
douglasfry
What is boring, is that Retrospect 7.6 for PC, found all the NAS's added them to the Backup Set, and runs a script without fault. I was hoping to move away from booting windows (from within VMware) just to run a backup. Doesnt look like I'll be running the Mac version in the near future however.
