JKilroy
Is it normal that Retrospect won't run while XP is in Safe Mode? I got "error 1017 - insufficient permissions" I tried doing that to see if I could get a good clean environment to test the MD5 verification error I'm having with Express. Mayoff
Retrospect will run in Safe Mode. Retrospect Express HD will not. It uses Microsoft .net framework which probably won't work in safe mode.
JKilroy
I see, so how do you explain the fact that Retrospect Express will not run in Safe Mode due to the errors given above? thanks
Mayoff
Retrospect Express or Retrospect Express HD? What do you mean by "wont run"? Are you unable to launch the application?
pappyon
I can verify that Retrospect will indeed run in SAFE MODE as I have run it in safe mode on Windows XP without any trouble!
