pjelsworth
I received the notification and installed the updated version of Express HD (2.5) However, since then I am unable to get a backup to work. I get the message that there is not enough disk space when there actually is plenty of free space. A message appears to "click here to make changes" which I did, and now Setup has lost my backup plan. I am unable to perform the setup as I now get the message "Can't save setup. Check the selected drive to make sure there is enough space"
Mayoff
How much free space do you have on the C: disk of your computer? How much free space is on the backup disk? What are you using as the backup disk? Is it a USB, firewire, ATAPI or network based disk (NAS)?
pjelsworth
My C: Drive has 13.3GB free. I have a Maxtor USB external disk with 25.5GB free (93.3GB total)
Mayoff
Either the Retrospect settings are corrupted inside all users\application data\retroexpress or the .rbc catalog file is damaged. You can try to delete the .rbc file from the backup disk and let Retrospect rebuild it. If this doesn't help, exit Retrospect and change the same of the retroexpress folder and open Retrospect again. This will reset all settings.
pjelsworth
Problem solved ... thank you! I went through the upgrade process again and exactly the same, it corrupts the .rbc file
