When I press the Test button I get "Retrospect email notification failed: error -541 (backup client not installed or not running)" Obviously the client is running, backups proceed normally. Mayoff Posted July 15, 2008 Report Share Posted July 15, 2008 Your email server is failing when you try the test email. You can see the exact error from your mail server by holding ctrl-alt on the keyboard while typing P twice. ctrl-alt-p-p Go to Debug Logging. Change network logging to 7. Run the test.
