MASSOLJJ
Hello, I save files on an external drive, which is now nearly full. Could not find how to purge older saves from my external drive, using Retrospect 6.5.342. Regards, JJ Massol
Mayoff
You need to upgrade to 7.6 and use the grooming options. With 6.5 you do a recycle backup to erase the entire backup operation.

MASSOLJJ
Thanks for the reply. How do I do the "recycle back-up" ? can you guide me more ? Am I allowed to upgrade as I am using version 6.5.342 OEM which came with a Western Digital external drive, and therefore I do not have a licence nbr ? MASSOLJJ
Hello, I found the "recycle back-up" option and ... could not believe my eyes as the only way to purge back-up data is to loose it ALL !!!! This is a primitive solution. The proper soultion would have been to be able to delete back-up sessions "ad libitum". Regards, JJ Massol
Mayoff
Yes, you can pay to upgrade to the newest version which does include a grooming feature to remove old backup snapshots.
