pybusiness
I'm so frustrated! I always get the 1103 Write Protect error after 1 successful backup. Then I must delete the config75.dat file, and it will give me one more each time I delete it. I can never get 2 successful backups in a row. I use Windows Ultimate. Where is it detecting the Write Protect--on my hard disk of the Iomega Terrabyte? Any suggestions? And if it's permissions issue, how to I get around: the entire computer drive is shared. Thanks. Mayoff
It is still unclear what is going on. What exactly does the log say for this error? Copy and paste from the log will be helpful.
pybusiness
Here is what the log says. Note that several folders have copied without incident until I get this message, then the programs stops executing. It will give the same message every day until I delete config75.dat, then I'll get one successful backup and the following day the cycle repeats. Mayoff
This error usually means the catalog is corrupted or Windows will not allow the catalog to be updated/changed. Have you tried saving the catalog file to a different disk? Edited July 9, 2008 by Guest
pybusiness
I don't save the catalog file to the \Users directory as a workaround; I save it to a special directory I created. It seems odd, though, that the catalog corrupts EVERY time I use it. The only way Retrospect functions on this brand-new Lenovo is if I delete the catalog each time. Something's strange. I could try yet another directory, I suppose... Not sure why Windows would not allow a change on this directory (or, rather, allow only a one-time change), since I have full administrator privileges. From the Internet, it seems others have similar problems.
