Mayoff
Yes the Registry is included with Backup. What system version is this?
kir
XP Home SP3. I'm getting a new computer which will have XP installed on it. If My C drive backup (all files) on my old machine is based on SP3 and my new machine only has SP2 will that cause a problem when I restore the drive to the new machine? Mayoff
6.5 has never been tested with SP3. 7.5 would be safer to use.
kir
OK, I downloaded Express-EN_7_5_387.exe and tried to install but after the install wizard finishes I can't find the application executible file. How do I upgrade from 6.5 to 7.5? I first installed 7.5 to a new folder without uninstalling 6.5 but could not find the executable file retrospect.exe. I next installed 7.5 into the same folder that has 6.5 in it. Same results. When I run the program I still get 6.5. Please help.
Mayoff
When you install 7.5, it should show up in the start menu Programs folder under EMC Retrospect. You will then enter your 7.5 License Code.
kir
I don't have a license code. I thought updating from 6.5 to 7.5 was free. Mt original 6.5 was on a cd ncluded with my WD external USB HD.
Mayoff
No, this is a major upgrade you need to purchase.
