pchernoff
I am trying to add a Windows 2003 Server as a client, but when I double-click on the icon in the "Backup Clients on Network" dialog I get an alert "Can't log in, error -3158 (unknown)." Even though I see the server in the listing, I am suspecting a firewall issue on the Windows 2003 Server. Or can it be from something else? pchernoff
I should add that I am rebuilding my backup server, but I see that the Windows 2003 Server (running Retro Client) hasn't been backed up for almost 2 months, so I suspect that there has been a problem for that long. Mayoff
What versions of Retrospect and Retrospect Client are you using? Technically Retrospect for Mac does not support the backup of Windows Server systems, but documents backup should work okay.
pchernoff
Updating the client on the Windows server fixed the problem. We are only backing up data. In fact, we back up backup files only.
