bugsbunny Posted June 25, 2008 Report Share Posted June 25, 2008 Hi! I encountered an error, assertion failure at "pc_xfile.cpp-574" when i tried to restore files. We have EMC Retrospect v7.5.387 installed on our server. I tried restoring files with different dates but i kepp receiving the same error. Pls help.. thank you. bugsbunny Posted June 25, 2008 Author Report Share Posted June 25, 2008 I was trying to restore several files then it asked me for the backup set member, it recognized the hdd then i restored it on a new location on the server as well. It allow me to select the files i want to restore then after clicking restore that's when the error message comes up then the retrospect automatically close. bugsbunny Posted June 30, 2008 Author Report Share Posted June 30, 2008 I have resolved this issue by selecting a different destination of the restored file. I have chosen the local drive instead of a different folder on the server. I don't know what happened but it used to work before. We would normally select a certain folder on the server.
