Express HD 2.0 for Iomega, and 160GB USB drive. Windows XP at latest.

Getting consistent windows bubble message "Delayed write failed. Data lost. files named include $Mft and $Extend/$ObsId. Not doing anything specific with Retrospect at the time, just normal PC work. The files mentioned are all on the backup Iomega drive J:.

Any suggestions?

Delayed write failure always means the hard disk is failing. You should contact the hard disk maker for support.

This is the worst of the errors, and usually means the disk will crash soon (at least in my experience). When I have seen this error, a disk reformat could fail too.
