Getting consistent windows bubble message "Delayed write failed. Data lost. files named include $Mft and $Extend/$ObsId. Not doing anything specific with Retrospect at the time, just normal PC work. Mayoff Posted May 6, 2008 Report Share Posted May 6, 2008 Delayed write failure always means the hard disk is failing. You should contact the hard disk maker for support. This is the worst of the errors, and usually means the disk will crash soon (at least in my experience). When I have seen this error, a disk reformat could fail too.
