pjwidener
Does restoring a snapshot from an old catalog file actually restore the files on that drive?
Mayoff
Retrieving a snapshot just pulls the snapshot from the media and adds it to the catalog. Doing a restore from a snapshot will recover your files.
pjwidener
When a hard drive for one of the clients is starting to go bad (i.e. bad sectors, cyclic redundancy check)...is it possible that retrospect may ignore that drive or jump over it during the backup process? Mayoff
Your operations log will report any failed attempts to backup the hard disk.
