HansDinges
Dear Forum, is it a correct behavior, that Retrospect 6.1 (MacOS X) starts a full Backup after changing permissions on the backup-source-drive? Thanks HD.
Mayoff
Not as far as I know, but I have never tried it. If the files change, we backup the files again.
CallMeDave
is it a correct behavior, that Retrospect 6.1 (MacOS X) starts a full Backup after changing permissions on the backup-source-drive? This seems like a loaded question, and it would be _much_ more helpful if you posted specifics about your experiences and observations. But, by design, Retrospect stores POSIX permissions in its Snapshot. If the _only_ thing about a file that changes is its permissions, Retrospect will not re-copy the entire file, but will instead update the Snapshot with the correct inode information. What are you seeing?
