hbeardave
I currently have Multiserver 7.0 I plan to upgrade to 7.5 soon however... I also plan to deploy a Windows Server 2008 machine. Are there any known issues with 7.0 and/or 7.5 on Windows Server 2008? hbeard
Mayoff
WIndows 2008 will be supported, but isn't it in a pre-release state still? We do not support beta versions of an operating system. 7.5 will be required
hbeardave
Official release to manufacturing was Feb. 4 and release to public was February 27. Release candidates were way back in September. I assumed that EMC would have been doing testing with release candidates and would be aware of when it was final. Mayoff
Looking at the Read Me document for 7.5.508 we say "Windows Server 2008 support. Local and client backups of Windows Server 2008 is supported."
nilesf
Correct Server 2008 is support, but not for DR. THere is also an issue with backing up Exchange 2007 mailboxes running on Server 2008. Possible solution, but not prefered, would be to login under the RBU account on the server (Server 2008)running RBU. See this article: http://kb.dantz.com/display/2/index.asp?c=&cpc=&cid=&cat=&catURL=&r=0.548855 When will full support for Server 2008 x86 and x64 be available? Thanks, Niles
