Mayoff
Try turning off the open file backup option. The error is coming from the Microsoft VSS service when it tries to do an open file operation. How much free space do you have on the disk? radvek
What is open file backup option and where can it be found? Under "setup" there are very few things to try: backup/copy, save to where, run when...that's it. The disk is brand new and I've never used successfully - basically empty except for the failed backups and restore points. Thanks for the help - I appreciate it. Mayoff
Sorry, I forgot this was Express. You don't have any options. Check your WIndows Event Logs for VSS or Shadow Copy errors. The error is being reported by Windows and is not actually a Retrospect error.
