Allen B. Posted March 6, 2008 Report Share Posted March 6, 2008 I upgraded my HD 1.x to HD 2.0 + latest update. Automatic backup is turned off, I backup manually using the copy feature. It will run the backup fine but when I look in the log file it is repeatedly launching and exiting after the initial backup. The only way to stop it is to exit the red Retrospect icon in the system tray. Then the next time I start Retrospect and backup, the repeating starts again. Here is a sample from the log... Posted March 11, 2008 Author Report Share Posted March 11, 2008 I uninstalled 2.0 from the server and also removed all retrospect entries I could find in the registry and any remaining retrospect directories. After a 2.x reinstall, same issue. I removed again and rolled back to ver 1.1. Now 1.1 is doing the same thing with the repeating start/stop. I also bought a new HP vista machine over the weekend to run as a standalone box not attached to the network. I installed 2.x on it and it also does the repeating start/stop thing?????
