mrblue23
Hi, I accidentially wiped one of my partitions this morning - but luckily I made a backup with retrospect just a couple of days ago. this is the log file from this backup: 23.01.2008 00:00:36: Copying Local Disk (F:) 23.01.2008 00:03:28: Snapshot stored, 109 KB 23.01.2008 00:03:29: Comparing Local Disk (F:) 23.01.2008 00:06:07: Execution completed successfully Completed: 474 files, 1,2 GB, with 16% compression Performance: 441,5 MB/minute (429,6 copy, 457,0 compare) Duration: 00:05:30 (00:00:05 idle/loading/preparing) Well, now I want to restore this backup point. When I select this backup point I can choose which files to restore. I choose to restore them all, back to their original location, and press restore. Just a couple of seconds later I get a pop-up saying the restore did not finish successfully: Executing DirectRestore at 27.01.2008 14:27 To volume Local Disk (F:)... -27.01.2008 14:27:45: Restoring from RestorePoint2, Snapshot Local Disk (F:), 23.01.2008 00:00:36 27.01.2008 14:27:45: Execution incomplete Remaining: 474 files, 1,2 GB Completed: 0 files, zero KB Performance: 0,0 MB/minute Any suggestions what is going wrong? Mayoff
I would recommend trying to restore a couple of files to a new location and see what happens. Express HD has very limited error info, so it is hard to know what is happening.

mrblue23
Now this "great" program does not even find my restore points anymore.
Mayoff
You might have a corrupted .rbc file. Locate the .rbc file on the backup disk and delete it. The software will rebuild it automatically.
