tdickson
I have a few Vista Boxes in the office, we are running Retrospect 7.5 multiserver. I wanted to test the Disaster recovery options for Vista. So in setting up a new Box Clean install of Vista, and did a backup. The backup of 16GB took 15 hours, but I suspect that is a problem with the drivers on the PC itself. Today I decided I would try to create a disaster recovery CD and restore the Box for testing purposes. Normally we do not backup individual PC's for Disaster Recovery only some of our servers, however I like to know it works in case I need it. However after the backup I went to create the Disaster Recovery CD and the only option is to create the instructions, the option to create the CD is Greyed out? Is this not possible out of Retrospect 7.5, I had read it was with the latest updates which I have?
Mayoff
From the 7.5 Read Me: Disaster Recovery: Creating a bootable Vista DR CD is not supported. To restore your entire computer first install a temporary OS and then follow the instructions for restoring an entire computer in Chapter 8 of the Retrospect Users Guide.
