JJP Posted December 3, 2007 Report Share Posted December 3, 2007 Out of the blue I'm getting this error in the scanning phase of my daily backup script of my K drive. I am using retrospect pro v 7.5.387. I created a new script but get the same message. Why would my k drive all of a sudden become write protected? Any help would be appreciated. JJP Posted December 3, 2007 Author Report Share Posted December 3, 2007 I ran the scan etc. got a seagate test utility for the drive and it seemed to be ok. This drive though occasionally does go mia ( I get a question mark by it and it doesn't show up in windows). When this happens I shut down and wiggle the sata cable boot up and then it works. So this time I pluged it into a different sata mbd slot with a new sata cable. I then booted up and ran the retrospect backup and it backed up the drive just fine. Go Figure? GDonald386 Posted December 8, 2007 Report Share Posted December 8, 2007 I have just purchased Retrospect 11.30.07 and set it up just fine, then after 3 days of normal backup I see now it is giving me the scanning incomplete, error -1103? Now, as I back up to two separate drives off my laptop how can I find this wrogue file and change its format to allow the backups to continue.???
