Jeff2006
We use Retrospect 4.3 on a Macinitosh running Classic. I have recently done searches for a few items dating back 1 year and they are found, but when I click open the folder to where they get placed, the folder is empty. I then 'get info' on the folder to view it's size, and the folder says there is something in it (18MB, same size as the file I'm trying to retrieve). I then check again on the folder and it is totally empty. I have tried copying that folder to another machine and the folder still is empty. Any suggestions? rhwalker
Are you sure that the folder is empty? I note (even in the current Retrospect 6.1) that items are often off-screen when restored by Retrospect. Try looking at the folder in "list view". Is it still empty? russ
Jeff2006
Thanks for the tip, but I tried that since I posted the question and the folder is still empty in "view as list" It's strange because a restore from two weeks ago finds everything I need, and I can see it. A restore from 9 months ago shows empty folders that say there is something in them. Any ideas?
Mayoff
Make sure you do not have any backup members marked as missing. If this is happening in the finder, after the restore, then the finder is making restored items hidden. You should use Super Get Info or another tool to uncheck the invisible bit.
