Hugh_Kayrs
I hope i'm posting this in the right area, but i was wondering why it does this. I start a script and it seaches through my servers to find what needs to be updated. It gets all the way to the Backup window with the empty bar, but nothing seems to be burning to my tape drive. It just hangs there for hours, days and even weeks on end. this happens to all of my scripts. Only sometimes, every blue moon, does it actually write anything to a tape. And it only burns it to one tape. Then it gets back to just hanging. Do i need to make an offering to the computer gods? have they forsaken me? By the way, i'm usually clueless, so something that seems obvious to you probably isn't to me. So, any and all help would be appreciated. Thanks. natew
Hi What OS do you have and what kind of tape drive? Does the problem go away for a while after you reboot? What version of Retrospect are you using? Do any of your servers run Appleshare IP Thanks Nate
Hugh_Kayrs
I'm using OS 9.2 and it is an APS Tech tape drive. The problem doesn't go away after i reboot and the version of Retrospect is 4.2. I use appleshare to mount the servers. I cleaned as much stuff out of the extensions too, but it still keeps freezing. Thanks.
