bdarveaux
My problem is this: Ever since I replaced the factory installed 2.0 GB Ultra SCSI hard drive with a 60 GB ATA 100 hard drive I have been unable to backup my data. I am using Mac OS 9.1.Using Retrospect Express 4.0, after the first disk is filled and ejected, I get the error message "Trouble writing media: "1-StorageSet HD60 GB" error 102 (trouble communicating)". The hard drive works great in all other respects. I have tried different disks and a different Zip 100 drive and got the same error. The system checked out fine with Tech Tool Pro 2. I went to the Dants site to update RE 4.0 and the driver, but there only seems to be updates for 4.1 thru 4.3, not 4.0 Would appreciate any advise. Thanks, Blaise
Mayoff
Retrospect Express 4.0 is not compatible with OS 9 when using a Zip drive. You will need to upgrade to Retrospect 4.3 for compatibility reasons.
bdarveaux
Thanks for the advise. I upgraded to 4.3 (for $20) and everything seems to be working. B. Darveaux
