rickrobinson
I installed OSX 10.3 on a new partition to get a "clean" start. I'd like to install Retrospect on this partition and have it simply continue the current set of backups from 2 clients plus the native machine. Is there a file in my old (10.2.8) installation that I can just copy over to the new 10.3 partition and have things continue to work? Or, do I need to start all over? Thanks, Rick
natew
Hi The Retrospect preference file is located at Library/Preferences/Retrospect/retro.config. Just move that into the right folder on your 10.3 install and you will be all set Thanks Nate
jethro
I'm kind of doing the same thing. Actually moving between an old computer and new G5. Besides copying the preferences files, do I also simply copy the catalog files that reside in the Retrospect Application folder to the same place on the new computer? Will this method retain all of the client settings, log files, etc.? Thanks. I've been nervous about the transfer due to it's importance here. natew
Hi Yes moving the catalog files to the same path location on your new machine will make things go very smoothly. Nate
