timmo
Hello all, I am using Version 5 Server Backup for OSX and am having trouble getting my Overland Powerloader tape library to automatically eject a tape when it is full so it can pick up the next available tape to carry on with the backup. We are not using bar codes so the autoloader is configured to sequential rather than random. Where do I set retrospect to eject the tape automatically when full, I know I must be missing something very obvious? Incidentally when running backups the control menu is still not accessible to me, even when I type in the administrator password. Thanks in anticipation
AmyJ
Loaders must be in random mode to work properly with Retrospect. Try setting the drive to random mode. Which version of Retrospect are you using? Try setting the tape mechanism's SCSI address to 0,1,2, or 3, and the loader's address to three higher, at 3,4,5, or 6, respectively.
