In other words, how long should I use a tape before it is considered unreliable (6 months, 4 weeks, 1 year)? I currently backup to a different tape every week, doing a recycle backup on Mondays and regular backups on Tuesday - Friday. I use a total of 3 Travan 10/20 gig tapes. Theorectiocally I can do this forever but at some poin the media is going to go bad. What are your experiences/suggestions? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
