Didn't compare errors

I am steadily receiving more and more 'didn't compare' error messages during backups. I'm getting the error on files that haven't been modified in weeks if not months. What could be the cause of this? We're running the latest version of 7, all latest updates and hotfixes.

(1) complete version number of Retrospect

(2) complete version number of Retrospect Driver Update

(3) complete version number of the OS

(4) complete description of hardware being used.

(5) complete description of the steps you are doing

(6) complete description of the problem

 

And my own question:

Complete description of what is backed up to what kind of backup set. In case of file or disk backup set: Where is it stored? Locally? NAS?

 

And a relevant piece of the log, showing the problem would help.
