Does this backup sound ok?

Ok,

 

 

 

here is what I have set up and want to make sure I am doing ok. We have had several bad experiences with losing stuff in the past so I am kinda of paranoid about losing data again.

 

 

 

I have Retro set up with 3 scripts.

 

 

 

Script 1 backs up our files from multiple servers, into a File 1 on our Network Storage Device(Snap Server). It does this on every other day

 

 

 

Script 2 backs up the same files on the opposite days.

 

 

 

Script 3 is a tape backup that backs up the two files created by Script's 1 and 2 every day.

 

 

 

I have tapes that run all week and Sundays tape is a weekly tape.

 

 

 

I am not sure is I have the back-up types set correctly. How should each be set (Normal, recycled??)

1) should be normal

 

2) should be recycle (assumeing you have to backupsets in this script).

 

3) should be recycle (as your getting the normals already in script 1).
