richardsugg
I know that running retrospect on 64 bit vista is not supported, but does anyone know if it will actually work? Does anyone know what issues I might have? I have a laptop that I downgraded from vista ultimate 64 bit to XP home 32 bit just because of retrospect. I'm currently running 7.0, but would be willing to upgrade if I knew I had a chance of making it work. Thanks, Richard
Keith.Pocock
I am running Retrospect 7.5 on my Vista 64 Ultimate. I had no idea it was not supported (are you sure it isn't?). You cannot use it to restore the Operating system with Vista x64 (published limitation). I currently have a problem with copying open (locked) files, which seems to be related to the Volume Shadow copy Service (VSS) and may in fact be a windows problem. Otherwise it runs just fine. Hope this helps.
Mayoff
From the Read Me: "Windows Vista x64: This release does not support backing up and restoring the 64 bit version of Windows Vista." Use at your own risk. When it comes to protecting my data, I don't use unsupported configurations.
