mojopojo69
I am running SBS 2003 with 2 Mac G5 clients on the network that need to be backed up along with my daily Server backup set. The rest of the clients on the network arte PCs running business apps but do not need their local data backed up. ISSUE: Previous IT personnel installed EMC as an application and it will not run unless the user (Backup Admin) who created the set is logged on. QUESTION: What is the process for installing EMC Backup 7.0 as a service that can effectively run scheduled full and incremental backups after all users are logged off? The need for this seems self evident, but until now I have used Backup Exec exclusively. Thanks, -MP
Mayoff
Retrospect can not be installed as a service. It is an application. If you log out (or stay logged in), Retrospect Launcher Service will launch the application at the scheduled backup time.
