TedOlin
I have been backing up with Retrospect for a few years now and I really am having some trouble now that my disc space has out grown my tape drives. I have a total of 76.3GB of used drive space and the potential of 90GB. My problem is that my tapes are 50GB uncompressed and 100GB compressed. Now all of this data is animation and video so I stay away from compression when backing it up. What I would like to be able to do is have my ten 50GB AIT2 tapes in a rotational schedule that would back up data that has changed daily over a two week rotation. My problem is that I can't figure out how to make a Retrospect due jsust that. I would like each of the ten tapes to represent a day Monday 1, Tuesday 1...Monday 2 and so on. Is this possible????? Thanks for all your help in advance, Ted
lv2ski
Yes that is possible. You need a backupset for each tape. I would name these backupsets - Monday 1, Monday 2, Monday 3 etc... Tues 1, Tues 2 etc.... for each day of the week that you want. Then when you schedule your script you put what backupset you want on what day.
