jland
I have a small windows peer network running Retrospect Desktop from a "SERVER" . There are 5 Windows client PCs operating in bedrooms & home offices. I cannot use scripts to automate backup as the machines may not be on at the time the script is invoked. Is there a way of invoking the run document from each machine as it is switched on. ( using startup group on the client to invoke the run document on the "SERVER" at the time of bootup
lv2ski
This feature is actually in Retrospect. It's called Backup Server script. It will go out and poll the network to see if there are any new clients that need to be backed up. If there is, it will prioritize the list and back them up.
