kjw
I have a Linux (Fedora Core 4) server running Samba 3.0.23a, but when I try and configure my Windows 2000 machine with Retrospect Express HD 2.0 (trial), it doesn't list my mapped network drive (//couch/kjw). I have tried mapping it to X:, G:, H:, but that seems to make no difference. Help?
Mayoff
Hi, This issue is specific to this version of samba. We have identified the problem and will fix it in our next update which will appear via the automatic updates option in Express HD once we release the fix. Thanks
kjw
Officially the first reported broken version is 3.0.23a-1.fc4.1 I hate to sound impatient, but when can I expect a fix? My trial license is about to expire, and I haven't been able to properly evaluate your software. I plan to buy half a dozen copies if it works the way it seems to. It is similarly non functional for a stock samba (compiled from src) version 3.0.23d It does detect a samba server running 3.0.14a-2 , but I can't do a real test as this server is at the far end of a slow vpn link - Kevin
