MacWright
I'm not sure why I'm hesitant about moving from 10.4.6 > 10.4.8. I've searched on 10.4.8 in this forum and there are some issues but it's difficult to see whether these are specific to the update or to other factors. It's just that I have a day to cleanup the computers and blow dust off the fans, so it would be convenient to do the update. Is 10.4.8 more suspect with Retrospect 6.1.126? it's not a big setup: G5 10.4.6 Retrospect 6.1.126 Driver 6.1.4.103 ( should I update it or is the new driver ) Atto UL3s 2- Sony AIT SDX-500c thanks for your help, Peace and Happy New Year! j
Mayoff
I use 10.4.8. I see no reason to not upgrade.
rhwalker
We have no issues with Mac OS Server 10.4.8 and Retrospect 6.1.126, RDU 6.1.9.102 on our Xserve G5. However, unlike you, we are using an ATTO UL4D to our Exabyte VXA-2 1x10 1u PacketLoader (SCSI). But that shouldn't be an issue. Russ

rhwalker
Make sure you clone your disk before doing it in case it goes badly and you have to revert. We had one update back when that went badly. Russ

MacWright
Works AOK. -updated Retrospect driver and confirmed it was working -repaired permissions -cloned with CCC as a precaution (much faster than Retrospect for cloning) -updated to 10.4.8 -tested Retrospect no problems. thanks, j
