MNDantzer
Hello. I am trying to make a custom Disaster Recovery CD. The one included with my purchase (Retrospect Desktop) works just fine, but I'd like to add my favorite disk/system utilities and tech notes. I can create the custom disk just fine, but there results one annoyance. If I start Retrospect from the custom Disaster Recovery CD, it complains about being unable to create the retro.config file on the locked volume (the CD), and gives me a choice to open existing, create new, or quit. Obviously, this does not happen when starting up from the supplied Disaster Recovery CD. A proper retro.config file *exists* in the proper place on the CD. It was taken from the system folder on my startup drive. Questions: 1-Is this an anti-piracy feature? 2-If not, can you discuss how to create a functioning startup CD without a nag about retro.config file? Thanks,
Mayoff
Actually this does happen when booting from the Retrospect CD. Just copy your config file to the hard disk before launching your copy of Retrospect from the CD, then open your config file when it prompts you.
