bigbee Posted August 2, 2006 Report Share Posted August 2, 2006 Is it possible to run a script in new media mode, where the media is an external hdd for example, and then run a script for the same Backup Set in normal mode where the media is a cd? The scenario for which the question emerged involves lots of data being backed up the first time, hence having it stored on an external hdd which then gets taken off-site, and the "incremental" backup data being added to a cd. Can the script that does a normal backup to cd media make use of the catalog that was created when the first backup to the external hdd was run, so that it knows what files have already been backed up and what are new/changed?
