Newbie questions... version 5.6.132

Recommended Posts

Just some newbie questions:

1) When backing up some sql (ms sql 2k) db's, I get an error indicating"different modify date/time" why? What does this mean? Is the db still getting backed up? No sql agent that I can find. Looks like maybe it is due to transaction logs? Are the db's being backed up? What should I do to correct this issue?

Here's the text from the report "..."

11/10/2005 12:03:04 AM: Comparing SQLBackup on Sqldyn

Can't export "MainBackupReport.utx", error -1116 (can't access network volume)

Also,

What is the reference above? " Can't export "MainBackupreport......" Where is this defined? Apparently I need to update the credentials or location?

thank you in advance for any input,

Hi

This is covered briefly in the Retrospect manual.

If you look at the log you will see a copy and compare phase in your backups. The errors you are seeing happen on compare. It simply means the files changed a bit from the time they were copied into the backup.

At any rate it is best to stop or export your databases for backup.

Are you trying to save the backup report on a local disk?

Thanks

Nate
