Fishy
I am new to Retrospect. I am familiar with Arcserve and Backup Exec. I am trying to figure how I can pick and choose which files I want to backup to prune my backups. If anyone can provide some hints, I would appeciate it or direct me to a previous post that has information about how. I'm getting frustrated. natew
Hi If you would like to back up certain directories you can define them as "subvolumes" on the configure->volumes screen. If you want to back up individual files the best bet is to create a "selector". This is a filter that will back up files based on the criteria you specify. The user manual has a good overview on setting them up. Thanks Nate
scrognoid
I am also trying to do this, but with a Duplicate script. I created subvolumes. I told the script to match Volume Name, because subvolume is not a selection criteria. When it ran, it did not match anything.
