pva Posted May 21, 2004 Report Share Posted May 21, 2004 Hello: I'm trying to restore our SQL server backup files from the tape, but getting -102 error (Trouble communicating). I can restore any other files but SQL server bckup devices (.BAK). What's causing this? Is there a solution? I would appreciate your help. natew Posted June 21, 2004 Report Share Posted June 21, 2004 Hi Can you try restoring an earlier version of the file? Since you can restore other files it sounds like the tape itself may have a problem. Have you cleaned the drive recently? Make sure the windows driver for the tape drive is disabled.
